Marc Ecko (Marc Ecko Enterprises) and Xavier Court debate the future of fashion and business in this discussion at Digital Life and Design in Munich.

Moderated by Susan Remke, the debate takes on the issues of recession and the economic bailout.

Marc Ecko is Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Marc Ecko Enterprises. Marc Ecko's journey began in the mid-80s while he was still a high school student working from a makeshift design studio located in the garage of his parents' New Jersey home. Armed only with an airbrush and his custom graphic designs, Marc quickly built a loyal fan base and in 1993, at the age of 20, founded *ecko unltd. Since then, the company has grown to include *ecko unltd junior and accessories lines, the contemporary Marc Ecko "Cut & Sew" collection, eckored women's and accessories lines, Zoo York, Avirex Sportswear, Complex magazine, Complex.com, as well as a videogame division, Marc Ecko Entertainment. Marc Ecko Enterprises International division operates with over 30 partners (including subsidiaries, licensees and distributors). The five international MEE subsidiaries are in France, Italy, Germany, Sweden and Hong Kong. MEE's portfolio of brands can be found in over 80 countries through department/specialty store distribution and in over 60 full price and 16 outlet stores. Last year, global retail sales exceeded $1.5 billion dollars. To help those less fortunate, Marc founded the Tikva Children's Home, an orphanage in Odessa, Ukraine, as well as Sweat Equity Enterprises, a design and innovation laboratory that aims to redefine vocational education.
