Glecy Cruz Atienza has dedicated her life and career to a commitment to the use of the arts in the service of the country.

She is a Sr. Artist-Teacher at the Philippine Education Theater Association (PETA) and is the Chair of ALYANSA (Alyansa ng mga Manggagawang Pangkultura sa Kamaynilaan at Karatig Pook). She is a TOWNS (The Outstanding Women in the Nation's Service) Awardee for Arts and Culture.

Here, she talks about theater into an educational tool to shape lives at the grassroots level, and to help people realize their potential.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
