Ex Teddington student Charlotte Stevens' earliest memory of a birthday present was a set of pens and paper; since then drawing has been her passion. Recently she has immersed herself in creating Manga characters and stories. In her heartfelt talk she describes how she escapes into her imaginary world when she draws, and demonstrates in real time how her character Kaiya is drawn.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
