Courtney Martin discusses "Perfect Girls, Starving Daughters: The Frightening New Normalcy of Hating Your Body," offering original research from the front lines of the eating disorders battlefield.
Drawing from more than 100 interviews with sufferers, psychologists, nutritionists, socio-cultural experts, and others, Martin's expose reveals a new generation of "perfect girls" who are obsessive compulsive, over-achieving, and self-sacrificing in multiple and often dangerous ways.
