Choreographer Trey McIntyre discusses how his dance company, the Trey McIntyre Project, has fostered a growing arts scene in its home of Boise, Idaho. He attributes the success of appealing to larger audiences to his American sensibility and the use of more accessible music. "Someone can come to the show and say, 'Oh wow, I learned a lot from watching how that athlete functions,'" says McIntyre.

Trey McIntyre, choreographer and founder of the Trey McIntyre Project, wants to bring dance to as many people in as many different forms as possible. It's why his company performs spontaneous dance events at restaurants and office sites throughout the Boise area. It's also why the Trey McIntyre Project is one of four companies chosen for DanceMotion USA, a State department cultural diplomacy program that will send the companies all over the world. Listen to an extended interview about his project with PBS NewsHour correspondent Jeff Brown. - MacNeil / Lehrer Productions
