Jennifer Egan won the Pulitzer Prize in 2011 for "A Visit from the Goon Squad," a novel of linked stories about two principal characters: Bennie Salazar, an aging former punk rocker and record executive; and Sasha, the passionate, troubled young woman he employs, moving from the 1970s to the near future, from New York and San Francisco to Naples and Africa.
