Paul Campbell is Head of Regional Development for the IB Americas. In this role, he oversees the region's work with interested schools, universities, governments, school districts, educational organizations, and associations of IB World Schools. He also oversees the IB support desk and the region's annual conference.

Prior to working for the IB, Paul was a staff writer and columnist for several daily newspapers in northern New Jersey. At the same time, he worked for two large non-profit organizations, expediting cultural exchanges between lay people from the USA and the former Soviet Union. Paul's education was from the University of Michigan, where he studied journalism and history.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
