Vidvan T.M. Krishna is at the forefront of classical vocalists in India today. His tremendous stage presence, his awe inspiring voice, his great scholarship and his ability to transcend cultural borders makes him the greatest ambassador of his chosen field, the South Indian Classical tradition. He is deeply involved in research in the field of Carnatic Music. He is presently working on audio archiving the Sangita Sampradaya Pradarshini, a musical treatise of very great importance in relation to the compositions of Muthusvami Dikshitar. He has delivered lectures on various topics ranging from music appreciation to creativity in numerous prestigious universities such as Harvard University, IIT Madras, and IIM Bangalore etc. He has also conducted many workshops and delivered lectures to leading business houses. He is also the co-author of the first ever coffee-table book in Carnatic Music, Voices Within. This book gave birth to a business creativity workshop, which was a fresh way of looking at one field and examining how it can influence another.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
