Arquiteta formada pela UFRGS em 1980, mestre em Planejamento Urbano e Regional pela UFRGS e doutora em Planejamento Urbano e Regional pela UFRGS. Especialista em Arquitetura Habitacional pela UFRGS; especialista em Conservação e Restauração de Conjuntos e Monumentos Históricos CECRE/UFBA; especialista em Desenho Urbano pela UFRGS; técnica em preservação arquitetônica do IPHAN (Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional, subordinado ao Ministério da Cultura) desde 1983; coordenadora da Ação "Preservação e Valorização da Paisagem Urbana em Núcleos da Imigração Alemã e Itália no RS" desenvolvida no IPHAN de 1983 a 1990; coordenadora da Memória Cultural na Secretaria Municipal da Cultura da Prefeitura Municipal de Porto Alegre de 1993 a 1999; autora do livro "O Passado no Futuro da Cidade: políticas públicas e participação popular na preservação do patrimônio cultural de Porto Alegre", publicado pela Editora da UFRGS em 2004; superintendente regional do IPHAN no Rio Grande do Sul desde 2003.

An architect who graduated from Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in 1980, Master degree in Urban and Regional Planning from UFRGS and a Ph.D.degree in Urban and Regional Planning at UFRGS. Specialist in Residential Architecture UFRGS; specialist in Conservation and Restoration of Monuments and Historical Collections CEF / UFBA; specialist in Urban Design UFRGS; technicist in architectural preservation at IPHAN (Institute of National Historical and Artistic Heritage, under the Ministry of Culture) since 1983; coordinator of the "Preservation and Appreciation of Urban Landscape in German and Italian immigration Nucleus Italy in RS" developed bi IPHAM from 1983 to 1990, she is alsocoordinator of Cultural Memory in the Municipal Bureau of Culture of Porto Alegre City Hall from 1993 to 1999; author of "The Past in the Future City: public policies and popular participation in preserving the cultural heritage of Porto Alegre", published by the UFRGS Publisher in 2004; IPHAN regional superintendent inRio Grande do Sul since 2003.
