Dr. Julia Osman, Professor of History at Mississippi State University, discusses France's proficiency at sieges during the American Revolution. She explains that sieges were such an integral part of French military strategy that they appear in "Jeu de la Guerre", an 18th century board game about war.

Julia Osman, Professor of History at Mississippi State University and the Society's 2008 Tyree-Lamb Fellow, discusses what it meant for officers of the French army to take part in the American struggle for independence and to become members of the Society of the Cincinnati. Dr. Osman also addresses the connection between the American Revolution and the French Revolution of 1789.
Julia Osman is a Professor of History at Mississippi State University and the Society of the Cincinnati's 2008 Tyree-Lamb Fellowship recipient.
