How many of us know about 'Dastangoi'? Not many. And that's because the art of storytelling in Urdu is lost. This duo, the youngest trainees from the team of Danish Husain & Mahmood Farooqui, works to revive this lost art.
Yojit is a lawyer by qualification and is currently pursuing Masters in International Relations. Ankit, a History graduate from Hindu College, is a content marketing professional. Under the guidance of the two maestros, this pair debuted in October 2010, sharing the stage with the legendary French storyteller Muriel Bloch. Since then, they have performed at venues like Chaunsath Khamba (Nizamuddin Basti), Purana Qila, BNA (Lucknow), and also opened the 1st Dastangoi Festival held in Mumbai at the NCPA in December 2010..
