After calling on GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney to release his tax returns from before 2010, Sen. Carl Levin (D-Mich.), speaking to reporters at a breakfast sponsored by The Christian Science Monitor, chided the former governor of Massachusetts for suggesting a now-closed Swiss bank account was "ordinary."

Carl Milton Levin is the senior United States Senator from Michigan, serving since 1979. He is the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Armed Services. He is a member of the Democratic Party. He has been Michigan's senior senator since 1995.
