Randa Omer Ahmed Basheir studies at Mohi-Eldeen Wahbi Secondary School. After graduation, she plans to pursue her dream of becoming a Dentist. Randa is enrolled in UCMAS (Universal Concept Mental Arithmetic System), a Chinese based Abacus & Mental Arithmetic Concept based program. Due to her remarkable skills & precision, she was allowed to represent Sudan in global competitions and has received eminent awards consequently.
Her talk atTEDxYouth@Khartoum samples her achievements at UCMAS, explaining the interesting concept behind that teaching method and how it can intensively contribute to society's prosperity. She wants to raise peoples' awareness about this program and its benefits, such as allowing the brain to achieve its maximum computing power. Through her presentation, she wishes to instill innovative, worthwhile ideas into the community, especially targeting the youth. She also hopes to inspire people to chase after their dreams & ambitions and therefore achieve her goal of positively contributing to society. That way, she feels she'll deserve to become a person worthy of being a role model to youths and future generations.
