Ciaran Mundy -- Director of the Bristol and Bath Local Currency Scheme Community Interest Company.

Ciaran is a long term resident of Bristol, a local business man and is involved in a range of projects focused on building a more resilient and sustainable economy in Bristol.

The Bristol Pound is a complementary currency for Bristol aimed at boosting the local economy, supporting local business and providing innovate mobile-based payment methods.

The Bristol Pound aims to include many independent and locally owned businesses in Bristol and the surrounding region as well as the general public. The Bristol Pound will be spent very like pounds sterling and is backed pound for pound by sterling deposits. However it is different to sterling in that the money will typically be accepted only within the region and so will continue to circulate around the region increasing the prosperity of the local economy.
