Marcus Westbury was the founder of Renew Newcastle -- a not-for-profit company that has launched more than 70 new creative projects in more than 40 once empty buildings in the Newcastle CBD since 2009. Prior to starting Renew Newcastle Marcus was a founder of Newcastle's This Is Not Art festival and the writer and presenter of two series of Not Quite Art on ABC1. He has worked as a columnist for The Age, as Artistic Director of Melbourne's Next Wave Festival, as a director the Cultural Program of the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games and co-founded Free Play, Australia's largest independent computer games developer conference. He is currently the director of ISEA 2013 -- The International Symposium on Electronic Art in Sydney and the founder and CEO of Renew Australia.
