Garcia's primary research focuses on the evolutionary and biological foundations of human love, intimacy, and sexual behavior. An evolutionary biologist and sexologist, Garcia has studied the nature of romantic relationships, infidelity, orgasm, cuddling, and sexual hook-ups, among other topics. Garcia's work extends beyond the laboratory and classroom, currently working on two books and frequently appearing in the media, he also serves as a Scientific Advisor to the online dating site, Match.com.
