TEDxGranta -- Sarah Outen -- How I let go and went rowing May 4, 2011
Sarah is a world-breaking ocean rower. In August 2009 she became the first woman and youngest person to single-handedly row the Indian Ocean, and the youngest woman to solo any ocean, raising over £30,000 for arthritis charities. Sarah's talk vividly describes the highs and lows of taking on such a dramatic challenge. She has now set out on her next expedition, London to London: Via The World.
About TEDx, x = independently organized event
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.*
