The TEDxPalermo Talk by Maria Sebregondi was one of the first in the morning of April30th. The location due to bad weather was changed at the very last minute and studio427 were welcoming our day. For the first time Maria Sebregondi speaks about the project "Ecriture infinie" by Bili Bidjocka curated by Simon Njami as a monumental concept passing on our own handwriting to posterity and as an online platform to allow the public uploading videos and images to celebrate the act o handwriting in all its different forms.
Creator of the Moleskine notebook line for Modo&Modo SpA in the 1990s, since 2007 she has been Director of Brand Equity at Moleskine Srl, in charge of brand value. In particular, she oversees brand development projects in building social networks both offline and online. Previously she worked independently as a consultant on strategic communications and product concept. She collaborated on several different training projects related to creativity and innovation intended for businesses and institutions. Author of several socio-anthropological essays on contemporary change for Electa's Industry and Design series and numerous articles for newspapers and magazines, with a special emphasis on new languages, she has worked on the subject of writing in different fields: creative writing (Etimologiario, 1988 -- 2002; Smentimenti, 2000), copywriting and communication, essays and literary translation (Queneau, Perec, Nabokov, Coleridge). Her professional endeavors led to several teaching experiences at different public and private universities from 1998 to 2007 (courses on the sociology of fashion and trends -- Istituto Marangoni in Milan; courses on cultural and linguistic mediation -- University of Siena; courses on writing and communication; training courses for creative professionals, conferences, seminars and workshops on branding and communication). She is an organizing member of the non-profit foundation lettera27 and a member of OPLEPO (Opificio di Letteratura Potenziale).
In the spirit of "ideas worth spreading", TED has created a program called TEDx, of local events, organized independently, that bring people together to share an experience similar to the one you live with TED. The TED Conference provides general guidance for all the TEDx events, but local events are made independently.
