프랑스 크라테흐 연구소에서 공부하여 현대적 흙 건축의 매력에 빠진 신근식 대표는 현재 그르노블 국립 건축학교 흙건축 연구소 연구원으로 활동하며 2005년 흙건축 전문 컨설팅업체 아키떼르를 설립하여 개발도상국의 주거환경 개선 프로젝트를 진행하고 있다. http://www.tedxbusan.com/p/906
In Korea, Shin,Geun-Shik is regarded as one of the pioneers of modern technical and creative applications for traditional abode construction. His oeuvre encompasses buildings, open space and landscape designs in Korea, Africa and Nepal, including Africa Project 2009.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
