As executive director of Blue Jacket Inc., Tony works to transform ex-offenders into productive, valued members of society. Blue Jacket works to give those willing to work for it a second chance at life - one that can positively impact them, their families and their community. Tony has been executive director of the organization since its founding five years ago after existing before as a program of Allen County Community Corrections.

No resource may be more precious to a community than its people. In this video, Tony shares with attendees the story of Blue Jacket Inc. and how our program has come to be known nationally for its innovative approach and comprehensive curriculum. He explains how we sustain our community by sustaining its people - by helping give second chances to those who truly want it.

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxFortWayne, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxFortWayne event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
