Philip van de Gehuchte runs a cross-media company and is part of the art collective "Le Monde Dumas", whose main goal is innovating new ways to revive the zeitgeist from the past in a modern way. One specific project is the Decap Beat Machine. A large dance organ, filled with automated instruments, customized and controlled real time in a "re-mixed" version for today's dancefloor.
Philip will showcast a 'dance organ', called the Decap Beat Machine and talk about its history, the zeitgeist it originated from. It is an organ completed with new beats in order to shake up the atmosphere at the dancefloor. The organ is injected with new technologies so it can be implemented in a 3D-environment. In the future, the audience will be able to interact with it by using applications.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
