GOP pollster Neil Newhouse and Democratic pollster Margie Omero told reporters at a breakfast sponsored by The Christian Science Monitor that Wal-Mart moms, women mostly under 45 with children under the age of 18, were focused on day-to-day life far more than Wall Street regulation or the debt ceiling fight.

On Tuesday, November 2, 2011, Romney campaign pollster Neil Newhouse and Democratic pollster Margie Omerto joined the Monitor Breakfast for a conversation with reporters.

Neil Newhouse is a partner and co-founder of Public Opinion Strategies, a national political and public affairs research firm which has been described by the New York Times as the leading Republican polling company in the country, and was named Pollster of the Year by the trade publication Campaigns and Elections for its work in the 2002 election cycle. He is currently serving as head pollster for Mitt Romney's 2012 presidential campaign.

Margie Omero is President and founder of Momentum Analysis, LLC, a Democratic public opinion research firm based in Washington, DC. The firm founded in 2001, counts among its clients the DNC, the DCCC, EMILY's List, Members of Congress, non-profits and labor unions, and campaigns around the country from City Council to US Senate. She is an award-winning pollster, recently named one of "50 Politicos To Watch" by Politico, and a "Mover and Shaker" by Politics Magazine.
