Democratic pollster Margie Omero said Republicans would have to overcome a lack of enthusiasm among their voters for their likely presidential candidate while GOP pollster Neil Newhouse believes President Obama will give Republicans plenty of spirit in the coming elections. The pollsters discussed their thoughts at a breakfast sponsored by The Christian Science Monitor.

On Tuesday, November 2, 2011, Romney campaign pollster Neil Newhouse and Democratic pollster Margie Omerto joined the Monitor Breakfast for a conversation with reporters.

Neil Newhouse is a partner and co-founder of Public Opinion Strategies, a national political and public affairs research firm which has been described by the New York Times as the leading Republican polling company in the country, and was named Pollster of the Year by the trade publication Campaigns and Elections for its work in the 2002 election cycle. He is currently serving as head pollster for Mitt Romney's 2012 presidential campaign.

Margie Omero is President and founder of Momentum Analysis, LLC, a Democratic public opinion research firm based in Washington, DC. The firm founded in 2001, counts among its clients the DNC, the DCCC, EMILY's List, Members of Congress, non-profits and labor unions, and campaigns around the country from City Council to US Senate.
