What happens if you use the method of 'thinking the other way around' to find a solution to cope torrential rain, yearly flooding, and not enough public space to use standard simple measures in a beautiful ancient city like Delft? Is it possible to find possibilities and viable solutions to prevent canals bursting their banks, swamping homes and closing roads?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
