The Wheresville Project is a rock band from Spartanburg. They are influenced by many styles and look to diverse bands and musicians for inspiration, including The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kinds of Leon, Led Zeppelin, The Black Crowes, and the Dave Mathews Band. The band appeals to older audiences for its focus on classic rock and blues but it has also captured the attention of a younger audience with its own original material.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
