Recounting his meeting with President Obama, Highest Duty author and hero pilot Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger discusses staying grounded despite his sudden fame. Referring to the title of his book, Sullenberger says that society's "highest duty" is to take care of one another.

-----

Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger had less than three minutes to plan and execute the water landing hailed around the world as "the miracle on the Hudson" last winter.

In a talk about work, priorities and challenges, Sully reveals how he'd spent his entire life preparing for those minutes in the cockpit of US Airways Flight 1549, when his actions would mean life or death.

Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger is a pilot from Danville, California. He is also the author of Highest Duty.

Sullenberger rose to fame when he successfully carried out the emergency landing of US Airways Flight 1549 in the Hudson River, offshore from Manhattan, New York City, on January 15, 2009, thus saving the lives of all 155 people on the aircraft.
