Ashley Beckett is all about engagement. How we as individuals engage with the charities we fund, how aid workers engage with countries in need, how humanitarian organizations engage with the people they support. With a special interest in the countries of central Africa, Ashley has founded an organization whose mission will be to inspire the growth of peace and the stability of community through the engagement of regional arts and culture. She will discuss refining and redefining how organizations and people interact with the cause itself.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
