Four years ago Barack Obama promised to keep young adults on their parents' insurance plans. As president he signed the Affordable Care Act which made 3.4 million uninsured young adults eligible to stay on their parents' plans up to age 26. Since the law was passed 2.5 million more young adults now have coverage.
