Bestselling author Tim Ferriss scoffs at Malcolm Gladwell's theory that most people can master a skill in 10,000 hours, quipping, "For most people, they do things the wrong way." However, Ferriss argues, given enough practice, most people have the capacity to excel at a variety of skills.

Timothy Ferriss (b. 1977) is an American author, public speaker, and productivity guru. Tim received his BA from Princeton University in 2000, where he studied in the Neuroscience and East Asian Studies departments. In 2007, he published The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich which was a New York Times, Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestseller. His latest book is The 4-Hour Body: An Uncommon Guide to Rapid Fat-Loss, Incredible Sex, and Becoming Superhuman.
