Ioana is inspired by her mother and hopes to be able to give a little back for all the wonders she has given her. She loves to bake, believes in the value of hard work and aspires to be someone worth remembering. Along with her interests in economics and entrepreneurship she strives to be the next Donald Trump, J.K. Rowling, or at least meet them along the way.

About TEDx, x=independently organized event
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxStGIS where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxStGIS event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
