Margarita Quihuis is a social entrepreneur and mentor capitalist whose career has focused on innovation, technology incubation, access to capital and entrepreneurship. She is a member of the Stanford Persuasive Technology Lab which creates insight into how technology can be designed to inspire people and create a better society. Margarita's TEDxMonterey talk focused on how to create social change by using popular social media tools and a framework for changing behavior.
This year's TEDxMonterey inspired and engaged the Monterey community with fascinating leaders, inventors, scientists, artists, community activists and global dreamers. With an all star line up of inspirational speakers the Monterey Institute of International Studies hosted the event on April 15th, 2011 and enjoyed participation from over 400 people both in person and online. The theme of this year's TEDxMonterey was Cultivating Innovation, which dazzled the audience through the themes of question, engage and transform.
